Ok!! So after stumbling across this IUD forum i am so glad i did. I have been on the pill for YEARS... Loette (alesse here in aust), Yasmin, Brevinor, Levlen ED and most recently, YAZ.

I had mood swings, put on weight.. and felt just yuck =(
I have been researching about the IUD and was going to try Mirena but have read some bad side effects...
so im opting for the Multiload ( OR Paragard) Copper IUD.

I ve had painful heavy periods in the past which caused me to be anemic but im over that all now and now have too much iron in my blood. lol.  cant get it right! haha
I would much prefer to have heavy periods again and not be moody and crazy like before- I dont know how my bf has put up with me for 4 years! haha

So my questions were, what was your insertion like?? esp people who havent had kids like me?
My doc said they might have to put me out to it because of this... but i dunno.

Also, how long did the bleeding last> and is it all ok now??
